I am a fan. There is a lot emerging research on intermittent fasting for metabolic health and weight loss.
There are also a lot of people online that are giving out bad advice without knowing what they are talking about. 

You will learn about what intermittent fasting is.

What is the  fasting and feeding window 

You will get to give it a go, to find your own fasting and feeding window.

What are the do’s and don’ts of intermittent fasting?

Why fast? What's the benefit? 

 

Fasting is a way to reset and heal the body, to allow yourself to really listen to what your body needs. A time for the body to take a breath, fasting can help bring balance back to the body. It is very restorative and has been shown to help reduce inflammation in the body. 

 

This fast is designed to help reset your metabolism, decreasing inflammation and helping to restore gut health. Fasting has been shown to enhance your immune system, it can even help with slowing down the aging process! And of course, regaining energy and vitality.

 

There are many different types of fasting.

My first fast was while training to become a naturopath 20 years ago. 

I have done many over the years.  

Fasting is not for everyone and is optional!

The fasting option for this program is at the end. This gives us time to work on your metabolic flexibility so you can go into fasting feeling competent and get the benefits from fasting.

 

Fasting is not recommended if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have diabetes, or have an eating disorder, or are dealing with chronic fatigue.

Good news: if you experience any of the above, you just need to let me know and you just miss the 3 day fast.

FAQ:

What is the time investment?

There will be four 1 hour zoom calls weekly over the  21days. If you miss this, you can watch the recorded call afterwards,  when you are free.

 

When do I go shopping for the week?

A week before you start you will be emailed out the menu and all recipes, so you can get organised the weekend before you start.

 

Will I be fasting for 21 days?

No, for the first 2 weeks you will be introduced to intermittent fasting and will be aiming to eat three meals a day. Then on the last week, if you feel up to it you have the option of going on a three day fast.

 

What if I get hungry on the fast?

There are three juices daily - breakfast, lunch and dinner. I find them super filling and there are snack options for those that need them.

 

How will I feel during the fast?

Everybody is different, sometimes you can feel tired and a bit hungover as the body is detoxing. If that happens, I am here to support you through that.

 

Is this a weight loss program?

No is the short answer. But some people lose a bit of weight while doing this, but some don't. The focus is not on weight loss as such - it is increasing your metabolic health. This in turn will help you maintain a healthy set weight for you.

I don’t have a juicer are there any alternatives?

Yes! You can do a soup broth fast instead. All recipes will be supplied.

I don’t have time to make up the broths can I buy pre-made?

Yes! You sure can. I can give you with a link to purhase Bone broth that I recomend and use myself.
